Integrate Keywords Into Your Online Content

If you are one of the many newsletter marketers who posts content online on a regular basis, it is paramount that you reach your audience. There are many ways to make the most of your online content, from posting frequently to spreading the message with social media.

For the search engines to take note and bump you up their ladders, your content should be well-researched, authoritative and meticulously proofread. But that may not be enough. You might also benefit from integrating “keywords” into your content.

Scan your blog post or other online content and pick out some of the main topics. Plug those phrases into Google’s keyword suggestion tool. This site will show you some of the most popular search terms related to your topic. Take note of the most popular terms, return to your original post and try to incorporate those terms into your post title, content, meta description and tags.

Caveat: Make sure that your content still reads well. Google is always adjusting its algorithms, and if it senses that you are writing for the search engines rather than for your audience, it could penalize you.

Keyword integration may give your online content a boost in the search engine rankings. And this can have a significant impact on the number of people who read your online newsletter or other content.
